Photo gifts are a unique way to display and preserve kids' artwork. Here are some tips and ideas to help you turn your child's masterpieces into one-of-a-kind photo gifts.
Maia W. of Reading sent us her tips and ideas for saving kids' art with a calendar the family will love 365 days a year.
After watching her kids' beautiful artwork pile up, Maia decided to scan their favourite pieces onto her computer so that she could store them more easily and share them with friends and family. She creates a new calendar of their art every year, so that no masterpiece gets lost or forgotten.
Since each month can feature up to three images, a calendar is the perfect way to display lots of their pictures, drawings, and doodles - and the kids can look forward to seeing new art each month! They add titles and captions to each month, and even put their own photo and name on special dates like birthdays, holidays, and the first day of school.
Best of all, calendars are an easy, creative gift that let Maia share their art with grandparents and friends - it's the perfect way to enjoy kids' art all year long!

Making kids' artwork into photo gifts is easier than you might think. Here are a few pointers:
Scan your child's art onto your computer. All of those masterpieces can start to pile up, but scanning your child's artwork and saving it on your computer is a great way to preserve your favourite pieces.
Upload files at the highest resolution. Once you're ready to upload their art to Snapfish, choose the "Large Print Upload" option so that your files will upload at the highest resolution. This will ensure that your photo gifts are the best possible quality.
Don't have a scanner? Photograph it! If you don't have a scanner, you can still create a digital copy of their art by taking a photo of it. Be sure to lay it against a plain, white background, zoom in close enough to see details, and use a flash.
Use Snapfish's free editing tools. You can easily crop, rotate, or adjust the brightness of your digital images with our free editing tools. Click on "edit & organise" and then "fix & enhance" on your photos page to get started.
Get the kids involved
It is their artwork, after all! They'll love turning their own art into gifts like calendars, photo books, and postcards. They might even have a few creative suggestions for captions and titles.
