Emailing by Computer
To email us your photos from your computer, follow these steps:

  1. Email your photos as attachments to save@mysnapfish.co.uk.
  2. When we receive your photos, we'll send you a confirmation message that includes a link to the Snapfish website.
  3. Click on the link. You'll see a web page asking you to register for an account at Snapfish. If you already have an account, you can bypass this page and simply click the 'log in' link to the right.
  4. Register for a Snapfish account by filling in the required information. Be sure to enter the same email address from which you sent your photos.
  5. You'll be taken to a page containing the photos you emailed. Check the box next to each photo that you'd like to add to your account. Then click 'add to my account.'

NOTE: Whichever photos you do NOT check WILL BE DELETED.

  6. We hold emailed photos for 30 days after we receive them, or for 60 days if you already have an account with us. If you do not log in to the Snapfish website and add the photos to your account within that time period, they will be deleted from the site.

  7. If you'd like, you can change your email upload preferences at any time. For instance, you can enable your Snapfish account to receive photos from several different email addresses, or you can set your preferences so that you don't receive confirmation emails. Simply go to your account page and click on 'edit preferences.'

If you don't have a confirmation email:

  1. Log in to the Snapfish website.
  2. At the top of your homepage, you may see a message alerting you that you have photos waiting to be added to your account. Click on the message to add these photos to your account.

NOTE: If you DON'T see this alert, it means that you emailed photos to Snapfish using an email address that we do not yet associate with your account. To add this address to your account, go to your account page and click on 'edit preferences.' Add whatever email address you used to send the photos as an 'associated address'. When you return to your homepage, you will be able to access your photos.

  3. You'll be taken to a page containing the photos you emailed. Check the box next to each photo that you'd like to add to your account. Then click 'add to my account.'

NOTE: Whichever photos you do NOT check WILL BE DELETED.

  4. We hold emailed photos for 30 days after we receive them (or for 60 days if you already have an account with us). If you do not log in to the Snapfish website within that time period, they will be deleted from the site.

NOTE: Snapfish NEVER deletes photos from your computer. (We can't!) We only delete photos from our website, if they have been emailed but not confirmed.

Emailing by Phone
To email us your photos by mobile phone, follow these steps:

  1. Send your photos to save@mysnapfish.co.uk using the photo option on your phone, which may be called MMS, Picture Messaging, Photo Messaging, or Multimedia Messaging (the exact term varies by carrier).
  2. When we receive your photos, we'll send you a text message that includes a key (a special code) and a link to the Snapfish website. Save this message.
  3. The next time you're at your computer, type the link into your browser. You'll see a pop-up window asking you to register for an account at Snapfish.

  6. We hold emailed photos for 30 days after we receive them (or for 60 days if you already have an account with us). If you do not log in to the Snapfish website and add the photos to your account within that time period, they will be deleted from the site.

NOTE: Snapfish NEVER deletes photos from your phone or computer. (We can't!) We only delete photos from our website, if they have been emailed but not confirmed.

Digital Photo File Types
When you email us your photos, you can use the following types of digital photos:

  • JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg, .jpe)
  • Zip files (.zip) - must contain JPEGs only
  • 3gp video files

Any digital photo you upload must have an ending that matches one of the above file types (e.g., niagarafalls.jpg, weddingpics.zip). Please note that the only video file format we accept via email is 3gp. Any other formats should be uploaded.

NOTE: Whenever you upload a digital photo to your online account, only a copy of it is placed in your account. The original digital photo file remains unchanged on your computer (or your phone).

File Size
If you plan to order prints or create gifts using your digital photos, we recommend the following image sizes for best results:

Print Size Minimum image resolution required
6"x4" 360x540 pixels
7"x5" 450x630 pixels
10"x8" 720x900 pixels
Wallet Prints 180x270 pixels
Photo Gifts 600x900 pixels
8"x4" Photo Cards 426x640 pixels

Please note that we always check the resolution of every photo before you order a reprint or photo product. If we think the photo isn't large enough to produce a quality image, we'll let you know.
